Holidays? Are they really Holy days?

Posted: September 11, 2013 in open

I have been more sensitive to The HOLY SPIRIT for the past 2yrs when I fasted from Christmas til New Years. My whole life has changed as I picked up journaling, performing Prophetic poetry, & witnessing for GOD.
I can’t comprehend how we are all ok celebrating these manmade-up holidays: halloween seems very demonic as a satanists holy day pass, I am 1/4 Native American so I think it’s a horrid memory to celebrate the theft of a country that founds thanksgiving, 4th of July is in remembrance of giving freedom from being held captive in the land of the free where their freedom was still a form of captivity cause they were freed on foreign land, it seems a random day is given to celebrate JESUS’ birthday when HE didn’t even mention it as well as none of the disciples held a memorial as we do on easter for HIS death.
It seems from the Bible we as believers should not substitute the traditions but honor that JESUS wanted us to host communion as often as possible. So then why wouldn’t we have communion 24/7 instead of these annual made-up holidays?
What is really holy about these holidays?
Personally, my spirit does not want to participate in what the world participates in any longer. Cause it seems we honor what is evil & ignore what is righteous on the behalf of good intentions.

What does The Bible say:

  • ~>Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 1 John 2:15-16
  • ~>They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and gain control over weak-minded women who are loaded down with the guilt of sin and controlled by all kinds of evil desires. Who are always learning and are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. Their minds are corrupt, and the faith they teach is counterfeit. 2 Timothy 3:5-8
  • ~>When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me. In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people–an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this to remember me as often as you drink it.” 1 Corinthians 11:24-25
  • ~>Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we are one body, although we are many individuals. All of us share one loaf. 1 Corinthians 10:16-17
  • ~>You used to live in sin when you followed the ways of this world, obeying the devil–the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. Ephesians 2:2-3
  • ~>You unfaithful people! Don’t you know that love for this [evil] world is hatred toward God? Whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God. Do you think this passage means nothing? It says, “The Spirit that lives in us wants us to be his own.” James 4:4-5

  1. You cannot change something until you “own it”, meaning understanding that you created it in the first place, and then set about changing it . You all know someone who seems to “have all the luck”.
